#Cyclist punches traffic agent in Manhattan road rage incident: NYPD

A bicyclist punched an NYPD traffic agent after the cop opened his car door directly in the biker’s path, authorities said Tuesday.

The rider slammed into the driver’s side door of the 45-year-old agent’s department vehicle after the cop opened the door on Madison Avenue near East 59th Street around 1:50 p.m.

The suspect then socked the agent in the throat and took off on the bike, authorities said.

The agent, who suffered neck pain, was taken to NY Presbyterian Hospital in stable condition.

Police released photos of the suspect, describing him as around 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds, last seen wearing a blue face mask and black hooded sweatshirt with the PUMA logo on the front, dark colored pants and black sneakers.
