Japanese publisher Micro Magazine officially announced today that Tsukiya’s yakuza comedy manga Kumicho Musume to Sewagakari (The yakuza boss’s daughter and her caretaker) will get its TV anime adaptation. Broadcast date and staff have not yet been disclosed.

The manga has been published from the publisher’s manga label for females, Comic ELMO, since July 2018. The total number of copies published has exceeded 500,000, and its latest sixth tankobon volume is set to be released in Japan on September 10, 2021.

Synopsis:

Toru Kirishima is the 28-year-old wakagashira (young leader) of the Sakuragi-gumi (yakuza clan). He is called the “Devil of the Sakuragi-gumi” because he takes advantage of his status as a member of yakuza to do whatever he wants. One day, he is appointed as the caretaker of the only daughter of the clan’s boss. It is a heartwarming (?) comedy about a little girl a handsome but devilish yakuza.
