High school is a wild place especially when little lies conceal big, big secrets, and now a new key visual, a new preview video, and the Japanese broadcast details have all been revealed for 4-nin wa Sorezore Uso wo Tsuku (“Four People That All Lie in Their Own Way”), an upcoming TV anime based on the 4-panel comedy manga by Madoka Kashihara about a quartet of high school girls that are best friends despite each one concealing a ridiculous secret.

The story of 4-nin wa Sorezore Uso wo Tsuku follows the ordinary high school days of four girls – Rikka, Chiyo, Sekine, and Tsubasa – who are best friends and who attend an all-girls school together. However, each girl has a ridiculous secret: Rikka is an extraterrestrial invader, Chiyo is a runaway shinobi, Sekine has psychic powers, and Tsubasa is actually a cross-dressing boy (real name: Tsuyoshi) who has swapped identities with his twin sister so that she can attend an all-boys school alongside her favorite idol singer.

 

A new key visual for the upcoming 4-nin wa Sorezore Uso wo Tsuku TV anime featuring the main cast of high four high school girl characters eating icecream in front of their school in the afternoon. The school has a conspicuous UFO crashed into the bell tower.

The 4-nin wa Sorezore Uso wo Tsuku TV anime is directed by Makoto Hoshino and features animation production by studio flad with assistance by Studio Pierrot. The series will broadcast in Japan according to the following TV schedule:

 

  • Asahi Broadcasting Corporation / TV Asahi networks: every Saturday during the 25:00 time slot as part of the “ANiMAZiNG!!!” programming block beginning on October 15, 2022.
  • BS Asahi: every Sunday during the 23:30 time slot beginning on October 16, 2022.
  • AT-X: every Wednesday during the 20:30 time slot beginning on October 19, 2022.

 

Please note that some Japanese TV schedules count early morning programming as late night programming for the previous day, so for example the 25:00 time slot on Saturday evening is actually on Sunday morning at 1:00am JST.
