Lil Uzi quickly pacified his worried fans with a follow-up video, this time without the blood. He claimed in the caption, “OK we good” then later added, “I’m literally tryna turn into a Diamond.”
According to an article on the Cultura Colectiva website, the bindi piercing — sometimes referred to as a “Third-Eye piercing” — may present complications due to skin and anatomical differences, including infection.
“Migration may appear in some case, making the piercing look non-symmetrical and rejection of the piercing might bring cause some pain or discomfort,” the article reads. “If you already have a piercing, then you probably know how your skin reacts to them. Unlike the nose, the lower forehead contains some blood vessels that cannot be touched while piercing.”
The 26-year-old Philly native revealed he was getting the diamond implant in a series of tweets on January 30 and explained he’d been on a payment plan with celebrity jeweler Elliot Eliantte since 2017, writing, “I’ve been paying for a natural pink diamond from Elliot for years now. This one Stone cost so much I’ve been paying for it since 2017. That was the first time I saw a real natural pink diamond. Diamond suit A lot of M’s in my face.”
Shortly after he unveiled the exorbitant gem, fans pointed out it looked off-centered, which he denied in yet another Instagram video.
“It’s actually in the middle,” he said. “It’s in the middle. I just got a long bar in it because I just got it pierced. When the swelling go down I’ll get a short bar so it won’t move. Y’all keep talking about it off because I got a long bar in it so it can move ’cause of the swelling. When it go down, it gonna be right though.”
