#Onipan! Reveals Key Visuals For Additional Characters

More character visuals from the upcoming supernatural comedy Onipan! were revealed today, ahead of its April 2022 premiere. The anime already released a key visual and PV trailer in early February. 

The new visuals showcase the side characters for the anime. Kaori Maeda plays Sakura Touen, Miyu Tomita plays Houshi Chotto, and Kikuko Inoue voices Kuma. They join the main cast, which includes Yome Nuzaki as Tsutsuji, Mika Negishi as Himawari, Kokona Nonaka as Tsuyukusa. 

Wit Studio is in charge of animation production for the series. Masahiko Ohta (Didn’t I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?!) is the director, Takashi Aoshima (Kaginado) is the series screenwriter, and Ryouta Yanagi (86 EIGHTY SIX) is chief animation director and character designer. Norihiro Naganuma (The Ancient Magus’ Bride) is credited with the original concept while Vtuber and illustrator Tomari is credited with the Onikko original designs.

Shunsuke Suzuki (My Senpai Is Annoying) serves as the art director, Arisa Komatsu (Higurashi: When They Cry – SOTSU) handles color design, and Shinji Tonsho (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation) takes charge of photography direction. Yasuhiro Misawa (Didn’t I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?!) is the anime’s music composer.

Set in a world where Japanese oni demons and humans coexist, “the story of love, friendship, and underpants” follows three oni girls who transfer to a Tokyo middle school. They strive to improve the misconstrued image of oni with the help of a key item with hidden powers — oni underpants, or Onipan!
