The Love Live! franchise's official YouTube channel has started streaming an eight-minute preview to introduce the four songs in the "Love Live! Sunshine!! Duo & Trio Collection CD VOL. 2 WINTER VACATION" to be released in Japan on December 9, 2020. The new combinations of members were chosen by online voting held in April.
As a part of the "Aqours Next Step! Project, "The Duo & Trio Collection"'s first CD "SUMMER VACATION" was released three years and four months ago, August 2, 2017. It became a commercial success, shipping over 50,000 copies in total.
