#I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince Releases New Promotional Material and Info

A new trailer and a key visual have been released for the I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability anime. Theme song details and additional cast and staff members were also announced.

Lynn, Akira Sekine, and Rie Takahashi are voicing the characters Sylpha, Tao, and Ren, respectively. The newly revealed staff members include Naoki Tozuka (T.P. Sakura: Time Paladin Sakura) as series composer and scriptwriter, Naru Nishikori (Shadowverse Flame in-between checker) as character designer and chief animation director, and Yuuichi Abe (Superior Defender Gundam Force director) as action director..

For the theme songs, Nijisanji VTuber Higuchi “Deron” Kaede is performing the opening theme “Kyunrious,” which can be heard in the trailer. The ending song, “Happy no Hiketsu,” is performed by Akane Kumada.

I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability is an adaptation of the light novel series written by Kenkyo na Circle and illustrated by Meru, which is published under the Kodansha Ranobe Bunko label. Since the series began in July 2020, there have been seven volumes as of December 2023. The anime will premiere this April.

Kodansha USA describes the manga adaptation from Yousuke Kokuzawa as:

“Lineage,” “aptitude,” and “dedication”… These are essential for sorcery. An ordinary sorcerer who deeply loved sorcery and yet wasn’t blessed with the lineage or aptitude met a violent end. On the verge of his death, he strongly wished that he could’ve studied sorcery more to perfect it. He then finds himself reincarnated as Lloyd, the 7th prince of the Kingdom of Saloum, who possesses a strong bloodline of sorcery. Reincarnated with his past memories as well as the aptitude and perfect bloodline, he starts enjoying a matchless life of “perfecting his sorcery as much as he pleases” using his excessive mana!

The story was originally a Shousetsuka ni Narou web novel, with the first chapter being published in October 2019.
