#NYC bus driver attacked after asking passenger to turn down music

An MTA bus driver was punched by a passenger after he asked the man to turn down his music in The Bronx on Saturday afternoon.

The 66-year-old was driving the BX41 on East Fordham Road and Webster Avenue in the Fordham section just before 5 p.m., when he confronted a straphanger about the loud music, police said.

Instead of complying with the driver’s request, the punk beat the man with his fists before getting off the bus and fleeing down Webster, according to the NYPD.

The driver was taken to St. Barnabas hospital in unknown condition, police said.

The pugnacious passenger was still on the loose on Saturday night, according to authorities.

MTA officials could not immediately provide additional details.
