In Germany, the availability of the “One Piece” simulcast is changing again. This time it concerns WAKANIM…

Am Tuesday was announcedthat Crunchyroll, LLC (formerly Funimation Global Group) wants to further unite the German anime providers. After already Anime on Demand merged with Crunchyroll in December 2021, has it too WAKANIM met. These three German streaming platforms offered until December «One Piece» in the simulcast shortly after the Japanese premiere with German subtitles. After that, it stayed with just Crunchyroll and WAKANIM, with WAKANIM continuing to add the new episodes only on Mondays instead of Sundays like Crunchyroll.

With the move from WAKANIM titles to Crunchyroll, it was announced that ongoing series would continue on WAKANIM, but new series would be exclusive to Crunchyroll. It seems that «One Piece» is an exception because it has been announced that As of now, no more “One Piece” episodes on WAKANIM will appear. Since episode 1012, anyone with a Crunchyroll subscription can only watch a new episode at 5 p.m. on Sundays.

ProSieben MAXX is currently broadcasting the series on German television. Episode 901 was broadcast on Friday with German dubbing and more are on the schedule. KAZÉ is also releasing the latest German episodes on Blu-ray Disc in HD, parallel to the DVDs – the boxes are there now available at Amazon.de!
