# Rumor: Starfield, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Hi-Fi RUSH, and more first-party Xbox titles coming to non-Xbox platforms

Microsoft is planning to release several high profile Xbox and PC-exclusive titles on non-Xbox platforms, according to reports from The Verge and XboxEra.

The Verge, citing sources familiar with Microsoft’s plans, reports that Microsoft has begun a new multiplatform initiative, weighing up which titles will remain exclusive and which titles will appear on PlayStation 5 or Switch in the future. XboxEra, citing sources who have asked to remain anonymous because they were not authorized to talk about Microsoft’s plans, claim that a public announcement about this strategy is expected sometime in February.

According to The Verge report, the recently announced Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will launch for Xbox Series and PC in December, and is being considered for release on PlayStation 5 “some months later.” Though the exact timing and platform availability could change, as this new multiplatform approach has yet to be finalized.

The Verge also reports that a Hi-Fi RUSH announcement for non-Xbox platforms is expected in the coming weeks, following recently data-mined assets hinting at a PlayStation 5 and Switch release. XboxEra adds that a release is expected in Q1 2024 (which ends on March 31, 2024).

XboxEra also reports that Microsoft is planning to release Starfield for PlayStation 5 following the release of its already announced downloadable expansion “Shattered Space,” which is set to launch sometime in 2024.

The website adds that Microsoft has made additional investment into PlayStation 5 development kits to support ongoing production efforts.

Microsoft senior leadership have reportedly debated the pros and cons of releasing previously exclusive software on other platforms, but recouping the potential money “left on the table” by not doing so ultimately won, the website claims.

In early January, a Game File report of Sea of Thieves coming to PlayStation 5 also cropped up, with journalist Stephen Totilo recently adding that he has a general sense of when the PlayStation 5 version is planned to release. “I wouldn’t publish it if I wasn’t confident,” Totilo said.
