Earlier this year, NVIDIA launched a new GeForce NOW streaming plan offering 120fps gaming for several capable devices. Basically bringing GeForce RTX 3080 performance to your smartphone or older PC, and now you’ll be able to play games at the highest setting on your Pixel 6 Pro.

Considering that Google Stadia is still capped at 60fps, even on devices like the Pixel 6 Pro or Galaxy S21 that can handle more, this is a big move for NVIDIA. At launch, NVIDIA’s new RTX 3080 GeForce Now plan had 1440p and 120FPS streaming support on PC, Mac, Shield TV, and 120FPS cloud gaming streaming support for a select few Android phones.

The list mainly included a handful of Samsung’s latest devices, but now they’re taking Google head-on and added the newest Pixel 6 Pro to the lineup. Essentially, those with a Pixel 6 Pro that want to enjoy the latest AAA games at the highest resolution and 120FPS will want to game with GeForce NOW.

Spotted by XDA, NVIDIA’s official support page for its expensive GeForce Now RTX 3080 streaming tier now lists Google’s phone as supported. Keep in mind this is only for the Pixel 6 Pro, as the regular Pixel 6 has a 90Hz display.

To start playing games at 120FPS on your Pixel 6 Pro, you’ll need to be subscribed to the GeForce NOW RTX 3080 tier, then manually enable 120FPS mode inside the app. Just head into settings and adjust the “stream quality.” Make sure you crank up the Pixel 6 Pro itself to 120Hz in display settings, too. That way, you’ll be ready to roll.

Obviously, this is the top-tier option from NVIDIA and likely only for die-hard gaming enthusiasts. Still, it’s nice to see the option expand to more smartphones that have the capability. So give it a try today from our link below.
