The Volume continues to make noise with elite athletes.

UFC great Daniel Cormier is joining Colin Cowherd’s media network, The Post has confirmed.

The 43-year-old Cormier is a former UFC heavyweight champion — with his pinnacle coming in a first round knockout of Stipe Miocic in 2018 — and light heavyweight champion. For a stretch, he held both belts at the same time. He is currently a color commentator for UFC’s pay-per-view events.

He also recently dabbled as a special guest referee in WWE for a Fight Pit match between Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle.

Cormier fits into The Volume’s recent strategy of focusing on high-level, championship-winning athletes. They have Draymond Green’s podcast, which made perpetual waves during the Warriors’ NBA Finals run, and added Richard Sherman’s content ahead of football season.

“Working alongside Colin for several years, it was clear he had an entrepreneurial spirit and an eye for talent. It’s no surprise that he’s built The Volume into a successful media company that features some of the most compelling voices in sports,” Cormier said in a statement. “I’ve watched closely as Draymond and Richard have produced must-watch shows that drive the conversation. I’m excited to bring that same approach to The Volume’s MMA coverage and deliver fans insightful analysis and provocative discussions.”

Cowherd, the popular Fox Sports host, founded The Volume in early 2021.

In recent years, podcasts have evolved from being an audio-specific medium to also encompassing video. The Volume has been at the vanguard of this movement. On YouTube alone, their feeds have over a million combined subscribers — with the main feed contributing over half the total. As measured by Podtrac, The Volume also regularly garners more than 40 million monthly global downloads.

As part of the deal, The Volume is also acquiring Cormier’s YouTube channel. The podcast form of his show will be available in the “Daniel Cormier TV” feed.
