#Kenshin and Enishi’s Fateful Battle Begins in Rurouni Kenshin: The Final Main Trailer

Finally, the official website for the live-action film adaptation project inspired by Nobuhiro Watsuki’s action jidaigeki manga series Rurouni Kenshin has posted a 110-second main trailer for Rurouni Kenshin: The Final. The clip also introduces a new theme song “Renegades” performed by the four-member Japanese rock band ONE OK ROCK, who have provided all theme songs for the live-action film series.

The first part of the two-part “Final Chapter” series, Rurouni Kenshin: The Final was originally scheduled to be released in Japan on July 3, 2020, then the second and final part Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning was set to follow on August 7. However, the release schedule has been postponed due to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

Now The Final, which is based on the manga’s final “Jinchu” arc telling Kenshin’s confrontation against the strongest enemy, Enishi Yukishiro, is set to be released in Japanese theaters on April 23, 2021. Then, The Beginning, which focuses on the past story of Kenshin as Hitokiri Battousai during the final years of the Bakumatsu era, will follow on June 4.
