#The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated! Anime Gets First PV, Reveals Opening Theme Song Artist

The official website for the upcoming anime adaptation of Wakame Konbu’s The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated! (Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai!) manga revealed the anime’s first promotional video. The video previews the opening theme song “Fightin★Pose,” by Yui Ogura. The anime is set to premiere on July 31.

The anime’s staff includes Mirai Minato (Bofuri: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense, Masamune-kun no Revenge) as director, Michiko Yokote (Heaven’s Design Team, SHIROBAKO: The Movie) as series composer, Saori Nakashiki (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable) as character designer and chief animation director, and Kōji Fujimoto (from Sus4 Inc.) and Osamu Sasaki as music composers. The animation production will be from SILVER LINK.

The cast members include Naomi Ohzora as Jahy-sama, Ai Kayano as the Store Manager, Yoko Hikasa as the Landlady, Kana Hanazawa as Druj, Mikako Komatsu as Saurva, Sumire Uesaka as Magical Girl, and Yui Ogura as Kokoro.

The manga’s first volume was published in Square Enix’s Gangan Joker Magazine. Square Enix Manga & Books published the first manga volume in English on April 13 and describes the story as:

The Great Jahy, the Dark Realm’s second-in-command, cuts a frightening figure, feared and revered by all. But when a run-in with a magical girl results in the destruction of the precious mana crystal, the Dark Realm falls, transporting the newly tiny and powerless Jahy to the human world! Unfortunately, plotting the revival of the Dark Realm from a cramped, crumbling one-room apartment is no easy feat when you have rent to pay and a job to keep!
