“#Demon Slayer’s Zenitsu VA Hiro Shimono Returns to Work After Having COVID-19”

On July 2, the website for Hiro Shimono‘s agency I’m Enterprise reported that the Demon Slayer star had tested positive for COVID-19. Because of this, Shimono had to undergo treatment and isolation in accordance with rules set out by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. However, it was announced today that Shimono has made a full recovery and is fit to return to work on July 13, which is tomorrow in Japan.

Shimono, who is also voicing Dabi in My Hero Academia, tweeted (above) “I’m back!” with many of his collaborators and fans returning with a “Welcome Back!” This included fellow voice actors Yuki Kaji (Shoto Todoroki in My Hero Academia) and Kenjiro Tsuda (Overhaul in My Hero Academia).
The statement on the website once again apologized to fans for any inconveniences caused and reiterated that the agency is doing its best to look after its talent and staff.
