#”Cinema-grade” MAPPA-Produced Cinematics To Be In ARK: Lost Colony Game Expansion

The ARK: Survival Ascended game’s X (formerly Twitter) account recently revealed its upcoming ARK: Lost Colony expansion, and the fact that it will feature animated sequences produced by MAPPA.

The post boldly describes them as “cinema-grade anime story sequences.” A short look at one of those sequences was included with the expansion’s reveal video.

Excited to reveal ‘ARK: Lost Colony’, the first canonical story expansion for ASA, releasing in 2025, which bridges the gap between ARK: Extinction & Genesis, and leads into the events of ARK 2, featuring cinema-grade anime story sequences from renowned Japanese studio MAPPA.

ARK: Lost Colony is described as “the first canonical story expansion” to ARK: Survival Ascended and will be released in 2025. It will lead into the upcoming ARK 2 and “bridges the gap” between the ARK: Extinction and ARK: Genesis expansions.

ARK: Survival Ascended is an Unreal Engine 5 remake of the Ark: Survival Evolved dinosaur survival game. It is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series/S, and PC via Steam and the Xbox App. Steam lists it as an Early Access title.
