Analyze the NCAA Football Week 11 and Its Specific Rules.

We’re on college football season Week 11, seeing No. 2 Notre Dame go the road to face dangerous Boston College a week after the Irish knocked off top-ranked Clemson. But there’s more to watch as we near mid-November. Here are analytic and rules you need to know of NCAA football week 11. Look what’s ahead for Week 11.

Week 11 Preview: Top Games

No. 2 Notre Dame (7-0) at Boston College (5-3) Saturday [ABC]

Since 2008, Notre Dame hasn’t lost BC, but the Eagles have a history of spoiling new Irish seasons. A week after Notre Dame upset Florida State in 1993, Boston College surprised No. 1 Notre Dame. Notre Dame was No. 4 in 2002 when BC again defeated the Irish, 14-7. 5-3 Boston College has previously scared Clemson this season and will need QB Phil Jurkovec’s monster game. So how will the Irish follow up on Clemson’s dramatic triumph last week?

No. 19 SMU (7-1) | 7 p.m. Saturday | ESPN2

The AAC remains one of the more interesting championship race conferences. Unbeaten Cincinnati seems like the bunch’s most enormous beast, but SMU is also rated, while Tulsa is unblemished in the conference. Shane Buechele leads the nation with 2,581 passing NCAA football week 11.

FBS NEWS: schedules, COVID-19 revisions

No. 13 Michigan Wisconsin (1-0) | 7:30 p.m. Saturday [ABC]

A lot has changed in weeks. With COVID positive, Wisconsin had to cancel its last two games. As for Michigan, after back-to-back losses to Michigan State and Indiana, the Wolverines slipped outside national rankings. There’s something to watch, quarterback. Graham Mertz, 20-for-21 for 248 yards and five touchdowns versus Illinois, may or may not be back after his positive COVID test.

Believe it or not, the only Big Ten matchup between undefeated teams. Northwestern, which went 3-9 previous season, matched the total win this autumn. Purdue’s David Bell has 243 yards and four TDs after just two games, stepping out with Rondale Moore. Now Moore could be returning to provide additional NCAA football week 11.

11 Big Week Questions

Are we looking at a two-bid ACC?

In 2017, the SEC had two teams in the CFP semifinals: Georgia and Alabama—and they ended up competing for a national title. Since then, SEC and Big Ten are typically supported as leagues with the best possibilities to make up half the CFP field.

This year, the ACC. Or it might be.

With Notre Dame playing for the first time in a conference, the Irish haven’t wasted that chance. Saturday’s OT wins against then-No. 1 Clemson established ACC’s perfect situation. Not only was the game thrilling, but the Irish are only four games away from an 11-0 likely rematch. Be competitive there, and Notre Dame may end up in the top 4, even losing.

Clemson’s road, too, is easy. D.J. Uiagalelei played well with star QB Trevor Lawrence (COVID-19), among other injuries, so the committee probably won’t have any trouble slotting the Tigers into the CFP if they win and beat Notre Dame in the ACC Championship Game.

Things often aren’t as clean as planned, though. While Lawrence is back and the Tigers have three relatively easy games left (in Florida State vs. Pitt at Virginia Tech), Notre Dame has three road games to go (at Boston College, at North Carolina, vs. Syracuse, at Wake Forest).

 What’s Florida next?

Like Notre Dame, Florida must worry about this week’s possible letdown. The Gators snapped UGA’s rivalry slump by rocking Bulldogs 44-28. Kyle Trask looked like a rockstar, throwing 474 yards and four touchdowns, chucking an interception.

Not everything’s perfect. TE Kyle Pitts recovers after a concussion. In the second two-quarters, the offense that looked overpowering in the first half tallied only six points. And big defense issues persist. Except for Texas A&M loss, the Gators outscored their enemies while averaging over 500 yards each game. UF, however, allows 402 yards per game – a number as a possible date with Alabama is ahead next month.

Before that, Florida has five more games to play to seal up SEC East and improve. And the next may be the most interesting: Ncaa football week 11, the former UF quarterback, is with Arkansas. The Gators could score enough again, but if they can’t create more stops, there could be doubts about the Gators’ ceiling.

Specific rules

College top 25 football schedule for Week 11 Friday 13 (7:30 p.m. ET) East Carolina Pirates (1-5) No. 7 Cincinnati Bearcats (6-0)

  • Saturday 14 November (noon ET)
  • 9 Miami Tech Hokies Hurricanes (6-1) (4-3)
  • 10 Indiana Hoosiers (3-0) at Michigan Spartans (1-2)
  • 15 Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (7-0) (4-3)
  • Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders (2-5) No. 16 Thundering Herd (6-0)
  • Western Carolina Catamounts No. 22 Liberty Flames (0-0) (7-0)
  • Saturday 14 November (2:00 p.m. ET)
  • South Alabama Jaguars (3-4) vs. Cajuns No. 25 (6-1)
  • Saturday 14 November (3:30 p.m. ET)
  • 2 Boston College Eagles Fighting Irish (7-0) (5-3)
  • Arizona Wildcats No. 20 USC Trojans (1-0) (0-0)
  • Saturday 14 November (7:00 p.m. ET)
  • Arkansas Razorbacks (3-3) vs. Gators No. 6 (4-1)
  • 11 Cougars State Oregon Ducks (1-0) (1-0)
  • 19 Golden Hurricane SMU Mustangs (7-1) (3-1)
  • Saturday 14 November (7:30 p.m. ET)
  • 13 Wisconsin Badgers Wolverines (1-2)
  • 23 Wildcats (3-0) at Purdue Boilermakers (2-0)

It would be a big upset if Friday’s No. 7 Cincinnati Bearcats lost to East Carolina Pirates in AAC, so that’s not happening. If you’re searching for an upset coming in Saturday’s early window, keep an eye on Troy Trojans, upsetting the undefeated No. 15 Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. The Michigan State Spartans No. 10 Indiana Hoosiers is also rivalry.

Because of cancelations and postponements, there isn’t much game for an upset to happen. It sounds ludicrous, but when they visit No. 2 Notre Dame Fighting Irish, we may come closer than we anticipate from Boston College Eagles. On the other hand, it could be a disappointing game for the Irish, and the Clemson Tigers played well two weeks ago.

Summary

And I had stones to pick an upset during the night slate. I’m going to knock down No. 19 SMU Mustangs with the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. It would be best if you made things enjoyable in primetime vs. No. 23 Northwestern Wildcats. This NCAA football week 11 was already wild, so why would college be any different this weekend?
