#T.I. Addresses Sexual Assault Accusers on New Song

Note: This article contains descriptions of alleged sexual assault.

T.I. has released a new song that seemingly addresses sexual assault allegations levied at him and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris. The single, titled “This Is What It Comes To,” contains lyrics such as: “Go put yo face and reputation on it/These kind of claims deserve more than anonymous provocative conversation, don’t it?” as well as: “Willing to face whatever consequences for his vision… while I’m up against some lyin’ ass bitches.”

In February, The New York Times reported that a New York–based lawyer named Tyrone A. Blackburn was seeking an investigation of T.I. and Tiny. Blackburn, represents 11 people who’ve said they’ve been “victimized” by the Harrises or members of their entourage, as The Times reported. The Times spoke with five people who claimed that they were drugged, raped, or sexually assaulted by the Harrises or their associates. T.I. and Tiny denied the allegations via their attorney Steve Sadow. Pitchfork has contacted both Blackburn and Sadow for comment about “This Is What It Comes To.”

The following month, T.I. and Tiny were sued for defamation by Sabrina Peterson, who claims that was harassed and defamed after she surfaced allegations of sexual abuse against the Harrises. In addition to defamation, Peterson sued for intentional infliction of emotional distress, and more.

Earlier this week, The Daily Beast reported that the Harrises are under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department over new allegations of sexual assault. According to The Daily Beast, a woman (whose identity was kept anonymous), filed a police report with two LAPD officers in April. In the report (viewed by Pitchfork), the woman claimed that she was brought to a hotel room by T.I. and Tiny sometime in 2005. She alleged that the Harrises gave her a drink she believes was “most likely drugged.” She claimed that T.I. penetrated her vagina with his toes without her consent.
