“Suzume Anime Film Opens the Door to Collab Cafe This December”

Makoto Shinkai’s Suzume anime film is currently rocking theaters across Japan and to celebrate the movie, a Suzume-inspired cafe will be opening up in the heart of Shinjuku, complete with Door Acai Bowls and Disaster Worm Crepes. The menu for the Suzume cafe was released today, showcasing all the items, some of which are below.
Snack Haabaa Fried Udon Potato Salad – 1,320 yen (US$9.40)
Chair Sandwich – 1,540 yen (US$11)
Keystone Dashi Chazuke – 1,430 yen (US$10.20)
Disaster Worm Crepe – 1,430 yen (US$10.20)
Door Acai Bowl – 1,430 yen (US$10.20)
Daijin Float – 1,100 yen (US$7.90)
Sadajin Float – 1,100 yen (US$7.90)
Sky Beyond the Door Drink – 900 yen (US$6.45)
The cafe also has a bunch of exclusive merch from the film which can be bought after enjoying more doors to the face than you know what to do with.
500 yen reservations are needed to go to the cafe, which started on November 18 and has spots available from when the cafe opens on December 1, all the way to when it closes on February 5, 2023. It will be held on level 7 of the Shinjuku MYLORD shopping mall at the Tokyo BOX cafe&space.

Suzume is directed by Makoto Shinkai, who also penned the screenplay for the film alongside Masayoshi Tanaka as the character designer, Kenichi Tsuchiya as the animation director and Takumi Tanji as the art director with animation production at CoMix Wave Films.
Suzume released in Japan on November 11 with Crunchyroll teaming up with Sony Pictures and Wild Bunch International to bring the feature to global audiences outside of Asia in early 2023.
