Survivor fans will have a bit of a wait for their next season. The competition series has been delayed. Filming of season 41 is set for this spring, and the series will likely return with that season next fall. Survivor was set to start filming the season just as COVID-19 shut down the production of many television shows back in March.
The series films in Fiji, and the series did not get the go-ahead to film there at this time. Inside Survivor revealed the following about the production of the CBS series:
“Production is said to be returning to its regular time-frame, albeit a year behind schedule, with the aim to film seasons 41 and 42 from April-July 2021 in Fiji’s Mamanuca Islands.”
It is possible that Survivor could return before next fall, but fans will need to wait and see. It could very well be a year before fans see new episodes.
