“#Suntory Celebrates Tokusatsu History with Godzilla x Boss Coffee CM”

Godzilla rampages through a ruined city-scape in a scene from the most recent Boss Coffee x Godzilla promotional commercial.

For the first time in 2 years, Suntory’s Boss Coffee product line is once again teaming up with Toho Studios’ Godzilla for a special promotional commercial that celebrates the creativity and hard work of the Japanese tokusatsu film-making industry.

The promotional commercial (above) chronicles the influence that special effects movies from overseas had in inspiring Japanese film-makers, and it also promotes the Boss Coffee Blue Impact product line. A behind-the-scenes featurette (above) exploring the creation of the commercial was also published.

Boss Coffee and Godzilla had previously collaborated in 2019 with a 60 second commercial (above) celebrating the life and work of Haruo Nakajima, the original suit actor to portray the iconic movie monster on screen.
