#Summer Time Rendering Manga Gets Anime, Live-Action Adaptations

An anime adaptation, live-action adaptation, and a real escape game was announced for Yasuki Tanaka’s Summer Time Rendering manga. The manga’s finale was released on February 1 through Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+, ending at 139 chapters. Summer Time Rendering was first launched in October 2017 on Shonen Jump+, while Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service published the English version in January 2019.

Shueisha describes the story as:

Upon hearing of Ushio’s death, Shinpei returns to his hometown of Wakayama City on Hitogashima and reunites with his childhood friend’s family. The funeral goes smoothly, but under the surface something strange is brewing on the island. What mysteries await him on this secluded summer island?

Tanaka has commented that he is going to Wakayama prefecture to scout locations with people working on the anime adaptation. The prefecture will also host the real escape game at the island of Tomogashima this summer.
