“Bryan Kohberger wears protective helmet after landing in Idaho”

Accused quadruple murderer Bryan Kohberger was fitted with a protective helmet as he was brought back to Idaho and booked into jail, where he will reportedly be housed with 22 other inmates.

Video posted to Twitter by NewsNation correspondent Brian Entin shows sheriff’s deputies placing the headgear on the high-profile suspect at an airport near Moscow, Idaho, late Wednesday to ensure he was safely transported to jail.

Kohberger, 28, had just landed at the Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport in Washington state around 6:30 p.m. local time and was being escorted to a waiting pickup truck, the footage shows.

He was then transported to Latah County Jail in Idaho, where he was booked on four counts of murder and one count of burglary, according to records.

Kohberger is being held along with 22 other inmates, some of whom are accused of minor offenses and others facing charges for serious crimes, according to TMZ.

Latah County Sheriff Richard Skiles told the outlet that Kohberger would be placed in a cell by himself and treated like the rest of his inmates, adding that he will be allowed to speak to his family on the phone.

On Thursday, he is expected to make an initial appearance at the Latah County Magistrate Court, where he will be read his rights, the charges against him and will also be appointed an attorney — which sources told The Post will be public defender Anne Taylor.

Kohberger will also be served his Idaho arrest warrant for four counts of first-degree murder in the stabbing deaths of Ethan Chapin, 20, Xana Kernodle, 20, Kaylee Goncalves, 21, and Madison Mogen, 21 at their off-campus home on Nov. 13.

The affidavit of probable cause, which has remained sealed due to Idaho state law, will become public after his court appearance — revealing information about the shocking case and his arrest.
