Steam-Heart’s & Advanced Variable Geo Saturn Tribute for Xbox One canceled
City Connection will no longer release an Xbox One version of Steam-Heart’s & Advanced Variable Geo Saturn Tribute for Xbox One, the developer announced.
“Due to the nature of this title being a revival of works containing provocative expressions, we have been developing it with the goal of offering a consistent gameplay experience across all platforms,” City Connection said in a statement.
“While each platform has its own set of standards, we have made continuous adjustments to the content. However, for the Xbox version, we have come to the realization that significant changes to the expressions will be necessary.
“It was a tough call, but this is where we are at now. We sincerely apologize to everyone who has been looking forward to the release of the Xbox version.
“Going forward, we remain committed to delivering our titles across all platforms, including Xbox.
“We truly appreciate your understanding and support.”
Steam-Heart’s & Advanced Variable Geo Saturn Tribute is due out for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam (Steam-Heart’s / Advanced Variable Geo) on May 29 in Japan. The PlayStation 5 and Switch versions will be available both physically and digitally, while the PlayStation 4 and PC versions will only be available digitally.
