#Madoka Magica Is Getting a New Mobile Game

A new Puella Magi Madoka Magica mobile game will be released this year. 

Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra is being co-developed by SINoALICE’s PokeLabo and Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story‘s f4samurai, with PokeLabo also managing it. 

A promotional illustration drawn by Madoka Magica original character designer Ume Aoki and an image visual for the game have been released.

The game’s webpage also has an illustration of Kyubey, with the typical pink elements of its palette swapped for green.

Magia Exedra will be the second mobile game inspired by the Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime, following 2017’s Magia Record.

The Puella Magi Madoka Magica franchise began with a Shaft-produced 2011 anime series that later led to two compilation movies, the 2013 Rebellion sequel movie, and a number of manga and light novels. Magia Record inspired a TV anime series that had a standard first season in 2020 and, in the next two years, an eight-episode second season and four-episode “final season.” Meanwhile, the main Madoka Magica series is getting a continuation this year with the Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Walpurgis no Kaiten movie.
