Star Wars: The Bad Batch TV show on Disney+: canceled or renewed?

Star Wars: The Bad Batch will not launch its second season this fall as originally planned. Disney+ has delayed the return of the animated sci-fi series until January 2023.

The show debuted in May 2021 and the first season of 16 episodes wrapped in August of that year. Bad Batch was renewed for a second season of 16 episodes in May of this year.

Ryan Penagos, Vice President at Marvel Digital Media, revealed the return date of the Disney+ series on Twitter.
