#Star Fruit Books Licenses Sachiko Asuka’s The Phantom Thief Baron Bat Suspense Comedy Manga

Star Fruit Books announced that it has licensed the definitive edition of Sachiko Asuka’s manga The Phantom Thief Baron Bat. The suspense comedy manga will be released in a single 620-page volume sometime in Fall 2025.
The volume will also include three one-shots from Asuka: The Strange Story of Elsinore Castle, Lord Monsieur’s Great Plan, and The Beautiful Vampire.


Publishing company Rittorsha previously published the manga’s definitive edition in Japan in September 2019.
The Phantom Thief Baron Bat was first published in Kodansha’s Weekly Shojo Friend magazine in 1967. The manga’s second part titled Dr. Asimov no Karei na Boken was then released in Shueisha’s Weekly Seventeen magazine in 1969, and the third part Kaito Shinshi Asimov Kyoju no Kareina Boken was released in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shojo Comic magazine in 1973.
The volume also contains 3 oneshots by the author.

Star Fruit Books describes The Phantom Thief Baron Bat manga as:
A suspense comedy series set after World War I that centers around Baron Bat, a thief who steals to help the weak.
