A St. Louis man gunned down his neighbor during an argument over parking — and then tried to fatally shoot the man’s wife in her home, police said.

Troy W. Jackson Jr., 28, was charged Monday with first-degree murder, assault and two counts of armed criminal action in the June 16 slaying of 45-year-old Jermane Hicks, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Jackson shot an unarmed Hicks in the head following an argument over street parking on a block where both men lived, police said in June.

Hicks’ 46-year-old wife witnessed the fatal shooting and came outside the couple’s home to confront Jackson, who initially fled before returning a short time later, barging in her front door and firing shots inside.

Hicks’ wife was not shot, but Jackson fired all the rounds in his handgun before running off, police said.

Hicks’ body, meanwhile, was later discovered by cops lying on the curb. He was pronounced dead at the scene, KSDK reports.

Surveillance video from inside Hicks’ home shows Jackson struggling with the man’s wife and firing a shot inside her living room, according to the Post-Dispatch.

A judge ordered Jackson to be held without bail. He has yet to hire an attorney.
