“Spy Classroom Is Latest Anime To Announce Delay”

The eighth episode of Spy Classroom is getting delayed from its February 23 premiere date, with the spread of COVID-19 being cited as the contributing factor. It will now air on March 2.

In place of Spy Classroom Episode 8, the follow-up to the Gokujou Spy Mission PART 1 special program, which was uploaded on YouTube, will be broadcast. Gokujou Spy Mission PART 2 will see cast members Yuuichirou Umehara, Miku Itou, Sumire Uesaka, Ayane Sakura, and Tomori Kusunoki playing Word Wolf.

The announcement is the latest in a line of recent delays of varying severity. Various other Winter 2023 anime like Nier: Automata Ver1.1a, UniteUp!, Ayakashi Triangle, Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible, Bofuri: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense. Season 2, and The Misfit of Demon King Academy II have been impacted by episode delays, with Kubo even requiring a full rebroadcast of the series from April. Meanwhile, yet-to-air titles like Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence and Masamune-kun’s Revenge R have had to postpone their premiere date.

Spy Classroom premiered on January 5, with HIDIVE and Bilibili streaming outside of Japan. It is an adaptation of the light novel series written by Takemachi and illustrated by Tomari, which began in 2020. However, his chosen members are all washouts with no practical experience. They’ll have to use every trick in the book (and some that aren’t) to prove they’re up to the task!

The show is directed by Keiichiro Kawaguchi (Higurashi: When They Cry – Gou/Sotsu) with Shinichi Inozume (Platinum End) as series composer and Sumie Kinoshita (Idoly Pride) as character designer. feel. is the animation production company.
