Following the previous 30-second one posted ten days ago, the official website for the Space Battleship Yamato anime franchise has posted a 42-second another teaser trailer for the first part “-TAKE OFF-“ of its next installment Space Battleship Yamato 2205: Aratanaru Tabidachi / The New Voyage.

The new clip introduces more characters who didn’t appear in the first one. The character and the warship appear in the end is probably Meldarz, the Commander-in-Chief of the Great Magellanic Cloud force of the Dark Nebula Empire (the main villain of the original story), and the Starfleet Flagship Pleiades.

This version has been screened in theaters after The Era of Space Battleship Yamato: The Choice of 2202 A.D.. The 120-minute compilation film based on the two installments of the Space Battleship Yamato franchise – Space Battleship Yamato 2199 and Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love – was released in Japan on June 11, 2021.

Space Battleship Yamato 2205 will be produced in two-parts, and its first part “-TAKE OFF-“ will be screened in 36 theaters in Japan from October 8, 2021.
