A ring designed by Tupac Shakur, and worn by the late rapper in his final public appearance, is up for auction, as Pitchfork reports. The gold, ruby, and diamond piece, inscribed “Pac & Dada 1996” in honor of Shakur’s engagement to Kidada Jones, is expected to sell for between $200,000 and $300,000, per Sotheby’s. The brokerage is auctioning the ring as part of a series celebrating hip-hop’s 50th anniversary. It currently belongs to Yaasmyn Fula, the mother of Yaki Kadifa and a close friend of Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur.

Shakur wore the ring to the Radio City Music Hall in New York for the MTV Video Music Awards on September 4, 1996. He was shot in Las Vegas three days later and died from his injuries within a week.
