#Sonny Boy to be Available For Southeast Asia via Ani-One

Sci-fi anime Sonny Boy will be streaming on Ani-One for countries in Southeast Asia, South Asia, and the Pacific Islands. Premiering on July 16, the series will stream at 12:30 AM (GMT+8) every Friday. 

The series will be available in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Fiji, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nauru, Nepal, Palau, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Samoa, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Tonga, Thailand, Vanuatu, and Vietnam.

The title will also be available on Taiwan’s Bahamut, CATCHPLAY, Chunghwa Telecom (MOD&Hami Video), friDay, KKTV, Line TV, and myVideo; Singapore’s CATCHPLAY and meWATCH; and Indonesia’s CATCHPLAY as well. Bilibili Asia and iQIYI are also streaming the anime, which previewed its first episode on June 19.

The anime’s staff includes Shingo Natsume as director, scriptwriter and musical advisor, Norifumi Kugai (ACCA: 13) as character designer, Mari Fujino (Dororo) as art director, Ken Hashimoto (BEASTARS) as color key artist, Akane Fushihara (No Game No Life: Zero) as director of photography, Kashiko Kimura (Btooom!) as editor, and Shōji Hata (Death Note) as sound director, with original designs by Hisashi Euguchi (Perfect Blue). The anime’s theme song “Shōnen Shōjo” (“Boys and Girls”) is performed by Ging Nang Boyz.

Various musicians such as Sunset Rollercoaster, VIDEOTAPEMUSIC, The Natsuyasumi Band, mitsume, Ogawa & Tokoro, Mid-Air Thief, Kaneyorimasaru, toe, and Conisch are contributing to the anime’s soundtrack as well. 

The anime’s main cast includes Aoi Ichikawa as Nagara, Saori Ōnishi as Nozomi, Aoi Yūki as Mizuko, and Chiaki Kobayashi as Asakaze.

Ani-One describes the anime as:

A group of junior high school students who suddenly have to fend for themselves after their school is teleported to a surreal alternate dimension.
