#Sonic, Tails, and Amy May Be Out, But Eggman's Voice Actor Remains
“#Sonic, Tails, and Amy May Be Out, But Eggman's Voice Actor Remains”
It was recently revealed that longtime Sonic voice actor Roger Craig Smith would no longer be the voice behind the iconic role. Shortly after, Colleen O'Shaugnessey was confirmed to be out of the role of Tails—at least as far as the new Sonic Prime series is concerned—and Amy VA Cindy Robinson will no longer be voicing Amy. There is, however, at least one character who will keep the same voice for some of the upcoming projects: Dr. Ivo 'Eggman' Robotnik.
Mike Pollock hopped on Twitter to confirm as much, saying "You've not yet heard the last of me as Dr. Eggman in Sonic the Hedgehog video games!"
On a personal note, I know you'll want to speculate about what happened, and possible casting choices, but please bear in mind that, IRL, actors' careers are steered by auditions, callbacks, bookings and rejections.
It's a bit more complicated than choosing sides for kickball.

Mike Pollock has been involved in a bunch of roles you're likely familiar with beyond this one, from Deus Prometh in PROMARE to Kudo in Great Pretender. It's worth noting that Pollock says he'll still be in Sonic the Hedgehog video games, which doesn't necessarily mean he'll be voicing Eggman in Netflix's newly announced Sonic Prime series.
