“#Sister Princess 20th Anniversary Project to Release All New Song Album on February 16, 2022”
The official website for the Sister Princess franchise’s 20th-anniversary project has announced that a new full album “Sister Princess VTuber project ~song❤️collection~” is set to be released on February 16, 2022.
The project featuring the sisters’ virtual YouTuber activities was launched in September 2019 as a one-year time limited project, but thanks to the enthusiastic support of the fans and the success of the crowdfunding campaign, it continued until October 1, 2021, much longer than originally planned. So far, five sisters – Karen (CV: Natsuko Kuwatani), Sakuya (Yui Horie), Kaho (Hisayo Mochizuki), Mamoru (Yumiko Kobayashi), and Aria (Nana Mizuki) – were able to make their virtual YouTuber debut.
The new album was decided to be produced after reaching the stretch goal of the crowdfunding campaign. All of the ten songs included in the album were recorded for the first time. Each of the solo songs of the five virtual YouTuber sisters are created from a new angle, and fans can enjoy the differences in their music and the thoughts of the characters behind the lyrics.
Also, the album includes newly-recorded cover versions of the OP theme songs for the two TV animeseries – “Love Destiny” for the 2001 TV anime Sister Princess and “Maboroshi” for the 2002 TV anime Sister Princess Re Pure.
“Sister Princess VTuber project ~song❤️collection~” song list:
1. “Kimi no Hitomi ni Utsuru no wa” (Karen, Sakuya, Kaho, Mamoru, Aria)
