#Sharon Van Etten Shares New Song “Let Go”: Listen

Sharon Van Etten has shared a new song called “Let Go.” She made the track for Arthur Jones’ documentary Feels Good Man, which is about Matt Furie, the creator of Pepe the Frog, tried to manage the character after it was usurped by the alt-right movement. Listen to “Let Go” below.

Feels Good Man airs on PBS on Monday, October 19. “After watching the documentary, I just followed the feeling of coming to terms with something and tried to evoke peace through my melody and words,” Sharon Van Etten said in a statement about the song.

“Let Go” is one of a handful of new recordings that Van Etten has released since last year’s Remind Me Tomorrow. She’s covered Nine Inch Nails, Nick Lowe, and Lucinda Williams, and contributed the original “Staring at a Mountain” to the new movie Never Rarely Sometimes Always in March. She also contributed a track to a compilation benefiting the indigenous Estok’Gna community in Texas.
