#serpentwithfeet announces new project Grip Sequel

Last year, serpentwithfeet shared his album GRIP, a project with saw the experimental soul/R&B singer bring dancier textures into his music. On February 28 he’ll share a follow-up via Secretly Canadian called Grip Sequel, a nine-track LP with six new songs and three reinterpretations of tracks from the first LP.
“Writhing in the Wind,” the first single from Grip Sequel, is out today. A gentle club rhythm drives the song like a heartbeat as serpentwithfeet layers the riveting vocal melodies he’s been creating since even before his 2018 FADER cover story. The track is “the sound of a lover begging,” serpentwithfeet says in a press statement. “He knows he messed up but desperately wants a second chance.” Hear the song in its music video, streaming below.
