#Saquon Barkley’s knee surgery held up due to World Series bubble

Saquon Barkley’s knee is ready for surgery.

Now the Giants running back is just waiting for the Dodgers or Rays to win the World Series.

Barkley is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair his torn ACL next week, after a delay in order to allow time to lessen the swelling around his strained MCL, as first reported during the “Thursday Night Football” broadcast on Amazon Prime.

An exact date has not been scheduled yet because Dr. Neal ElAttrache – the head team physician for the Dodgers and the NFL’s Rams – is in Major League Baseball’s bubble until the World Series ends, a source told The Post. A possible Game 7 is set for Wednesday.

Barkley suffered the season-ending injury Sept. 20, but the expectation is he will be ready to participate when training camp opens next July. He made the trip Thursday with the Giants to face the Eagles.
