Sen. Amy Klobuchar heaped praise onto Joe Biden during the 2020 Democratic National Convention on Monday — but couldn’t help mention for the umpteenth time how she launched her own failed presidential campaign in the middle of a snowstorm.

The Minnesota lawmaker said the day she ended her White House run was “filled with joy” because it was also the day she endorsed Biden.

“Joe ran for the same reasons I did, when I announced my campaign in the middle of that blizzard on the banks of the Mississippi River,” Klobuchar said.

She was referring to the memorable event last February where she declared her candidacy as snow whipped around her amid 14-degree temps.

Klobuchar said that both she and Biden ran for the nation’s highest office, “to cross the river of our divides, to bring this nation together, to be a president for all America.”

She aligned herself with the presumptive nominee further, reiterating comments she made when she endorsed Biden.

“If you feel stuck in the middle of the extremes in our politics, if you are tired of the noise and the nonsense,” Klobuchar said, “you have a home with me and you have a home with Joe Biden.”

Klobuchar also took aim at President Trump with a joke about the importance of voting and the U.S. postal office.

“The president may hate the Post Office,” she quipped, “but he’s still going to have to send them a change of address card in January.”
