#Sakamoto Days Releases 2nd Main Trailer

A new main trailer has been released for the Sakamoto Days anime adaptation. It includes a preview of ending song “Futsuu” by Conton Candy.

More cast members were also revealed: Hiroyuki Yasumoto as Hyou, Hochu Otsuka as Takamura, and Daisuke Namikawa as Slur.

Cour 1 of Sakamoto Days is set to premiere on January 11, 2025 JST, while Cour 2 will premiere in July 2025. The anime will be streamed on Netflix worldwide with a weekly release schedule.

Sakamoto Days is based on the manga by Yuto Suzuki, which began in 2020 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump and has 19 tankoubon volumes as of November 2024. Viz Media describes the premise as:

Time has passed peacefully for Sakamoto since he left the underworld. He’s running a neighborhood store with his lovely wife and child and has gotten a bit…out of shape. But one day a figure from his past pays him a visit with an offer he can’t refuse: return to the assassin world or die!
