For those who are unaware, Saints Row is a series of action-adventure video games created by Volition and published by THQ. Saint Row game series follows the 3rd Street Saints, a fictional street gang originally operating out of the Saint’s Row district. It is such a popular and big franchise; some of the other games of the series can be found on every gaming platform.

Saint Row Remake

The last official game in the franchise was called Saint Row IV, which was released in 2013. Since then, we have seen a few remaster versions of the previous game but nothing new. Well, now Saints Row is making a comeback, and that too is in the best form possible i.e., a remake/reboot.

The developer, Deep Silver Volition, announced the reboot at Gamescom 2021 and stated that the game is set to release on 25^th February 2021. Gamescom is always filled with amazing new reveals and announcements. The first day of Gamescom brought us this exciting reveal.

It was also revealed that the reboot would feature cross-generation and cross-platform co-operative play. Apart from that, it will be loaded all the drop-in and drop-out features that the fans expect. The game’s combat system draws its inspiration from the action flick John Wick, and the driving system is inspired by Baby Driver 2017.

Saints Row Reboot Features

Now that we know what the game is about, let us talk about the story and the gameplay of the upcoming reboot. Here are the main pointers from the event:

The game is set in Santo Ileso, a fictional city in the American Southwest, which is a land rife with crime and lawless factions.
Saints Row is the story of a start-up company, it’s just that the business The Saints are in a business that happens to be a crime. So, it will give you a crime empire-building experience.
There will be three other factions in the game namely, Los Panteros, The Idols, and Marshall. They will cause hindrances to the growth of your empire, so you will need to battle them and take the control of the city!
Fan-favorite Insurance Fraud, which lets you put yourself in harm’s way, will be returning in the game. Alongside this, some familiar missions from the series will also be making a return.
With the introduction of a new feature, you’ll be able to prank your friends in co-op.
The game will give you the flexibility to do what you want; hence, all the players might end up having a different world state.
The progression of the game has been tweaked as well. Gameplay has also been enhanced to deliver a more arcade-like weapon system.
