The Saikyou Onmyouji no Isekai Tenseiki: Geboku no Youkaidomo ni Kurabete Monster ga Yowaisugirunda ga isekai light novel series is getting adapted into an anime, author Kiichi Kozusu revealed on Twitter. The series, which is illustrated by Shin and published under Futabasha’s M Novels label, began in 2019 and has five volumes as of October 2021. The Monster Comics label manga adaptation by Toshinori Okazaki began in 2020, with the fourth volume being released on January 28. The story originated as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2018, which won the seventh Net Shousetsu Taishou award.
Saikyou Onmyouji no Isekai Tenseiki follows Haruyoshi, a powerful onmyouji who is left on the verge of death after a betrayal by his allies. After attempting a secret reincarnation technique, Haruyoshi reincarnates into another world as part of a family of magic-users. While he is judged to have no magical ability, Haruyoshi perceives the magic in this world as being inferior to the onmyouji powers he still possesses, and thus believes that he can get by without it.
