#Ryan Seacrest wants to Rock Times Square next ‘Rockin’ Eve’

“Ryan Seacrest wants to Rock Times Square next ‘Rockin’ Eve'”

Ryan Seacrest thinks his “Rockin’ Eve” needs a Rock.

The host of “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” has a dream wingman for future festivities.

“The Rock, Dwayne Johnson. Dwayne Johnson in Times Square would be the greatest because it’s packed and people would pay attention to him,” Seacrest told The Post at ABC Studios on Thursday. “So pass it on, ‘Post.’”

To ring in 2023, Seacrest is paired with actress and producer Liza Koshy.

“He’s gonna take my job next year,” she said of Johnson, laughing.

The duo explained how they begin to prepare for the ball drop and the five-hour show surrounding it — with an 100-person production meeting.

“It’s the largest production meeting you’ve ever seen in your life,” Seacrest, 48, explained. “It was on Zoom this year, but it’s been in the past in a conference room right here at ABC. It’s the most intimidating, scary meeting I’m ever in because of the sheer size of the table.”

On Saturday morning, the nation’s New Year’s leading man brews three cups of his favorite brand of coffee, Pachamama.

“I sleep a little later than normal and have granola and then come in,” he said.

The always dapper Emmy-winning TV and radio host will don a custom-made Brunello Cucinelli tux to celebrate the start of 2023.

“It’s the nicest thing I’ve ever had in my life, and you’ll see it year after year,” he said.

Since there is steady evening rain in the forecast, Koshy, 26, will start the day with a cold shower “because you never know if later that day you’re going to experience a cold shower.”

The Houston native, who rose to fame on YouTube and now has over 17 million followers on the platform, ditched her heels and bought a pair of rain boots for the occasion.

She will also be bundled up in a Moncler ski suit for her second year as co-host.

“Never been skiing, but this is the closest I’ll get is Times Square,” she said.

Her accessories include a skinny black tie, which she said is inspired by Seacrest, who was on her Pinterest board this year.

Besides inclement weather, the pair is ready for any mishaps that can come their way.

One year, Seacrest got stuck in the elevator that leads to the ball, which sits atop a Walgreens on Broadway.

“The elevator’s in a drugstore. You walk into a chain drugstore and head up to the top of the building, and then you take stairs, several staircases, up to the ball,” he explained. “I didn’t understand that. I thought we were buying a pack of gum and all the sudden we’re going up to the ball.”

“Rockin’ Eve” began in 1971, and the late great Dick Clark started hosting in 1972.

Clark passed the baton to Seacrest, who first joined him in the production in 2005 — and offered this advice:

“Go out there and make everybody think they could be your buddy.”
