#Rozé of the Recapture Releases Act 3 Trailer, Visual

A new trailer and key visual have been released for the Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture anime to promote the upcoming release of Act 3 in Japanese theaters on July 5.

Act 1 and 2 premiered on May 10 and June 7, respectively. The fourth and final part will be released on August 2. 

Before Act 3 or 4 hits theaters, a 12-episode format version of Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture will premiere on Disney+ on June 21. 

Rozé of the Recapture, the latest entry in the Code Geassfranchise, starts in the seventh year of the Kouwa era and follows the mercenary brothers Rozé and Ash, the latter an excellent Knightmare pilot and the former an intellectual who uses his smarts for negotiations, information gathering, and strategy. The two join forces with a Japanese resistance force to battle against Neo Britannica and free Sakuya Sumeragi, the captive daughter of Hokkaido’s murdered leader.

The first Code Geass anime was Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, which ran from 2006 to 2008 with two seasons. Other anime include OVAs, a recap film series with continuity differences, a sequel to the recaps titled Code Geass Lelouch of the Re;surrection, and the Code Geass: Akito the Exiled spin-off series. The franchise also includes light novels, manga, and video games.

Rozé of the Recapture was originally subtitled Z of the Recapture. Comic Natalie reported that it was altered in light of world affairs (the “Z” symbol was used by Russia during its invasion of Ukraine).
