Rod Wave is getting ready to release a new album this year, but before he does that, the Florida native is getting some last-minute rest and relaxation before he gets back to work.

Recently, Rod Wave hit up a tropical locale with comedian Druski and decided to hop on a jet ski to live up to his name. In the footage posted on Druski’s TikTok, the rapper gets on the jet ski and begins to rev up the engine. Druski watches Rod slowly ride off into the waves and provides some hilarious commentary as if the Soulfly singer would drown.

“Oh hell no, Rod, don’t do it,” Druski screamed in the TikTok video. “Rod, don’t do it, man! Ah shit, they done got Rod. Hold on Rod, don’t do it. Don’t do that shit! This n-gga going two miles per hour!”

Fortunately, Rod was perfectly fine, and Druski was just having some fun. On a more serious note, the comedian got a chance to be the first person to hear Rod Wave’s new album, as was made apparent in the rapper’s Instagram Story recently.

Wave is also pulling out all the stops for the upcoming project. DJ Khaled posted their studio session on Instagram on Monday (March 14) with the We The Best boss calling the rapper “a very special artist.” If linking with DJ Khaled wasn’t enough, Rod Wave was joined in the studio by Atlanta rap superstar Future.

“Jus Finished My Album,” Rod Wave wrote in the caption of his post before speaking on the Future collaboration on his Instagram Story. “@future Jumped in dis rap shit and watched my dreams come alive meeting n-ggas I been watching since middle school.”
