#Columbine-obsessed teens accused of plotting school shootings in Indiana

Two Columbine-obsessed teenagers have been accused of planning mass shootings targeting two Indiana high schools — in which they were allegedly going to “kill a bunch of human scum,” according to court documents.

John Schultz IV, 18, and Donald Robin Jr., 17, were so obsessed with the 1999 Colorado school massacre, they even had tattoos of guns with quotes from killers Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris, WSBT said, citing probable cause documents.

They then bought black trench coats to look like them as they waited for schools to reopen in Rochester — saying they would “kill a bunch of kids” at two high schools, the report said.

Police were tipped off by an informant who said Schultz had bragged about the plan to “kill as many as they can and kill themselves just like Columbine,” ABC57 said.

“im killing myself after I kill a bunch of people,” Robin said in Facebook messenger chats, saying he had an “itch” for a massacre.

“We’re peacin out when we kill a bunch of human scum,” he reportedly wrote in the chats.

He admitted once taking his dad’s AR15 to school when he was in eighth grade — only deciding against shooting up the middle school after sitting outside thinking about it for 30 minutes, the report said.

As well as discussing the weapons they would use, the teens planned out how they would first kill the security guard to get the maximum body count before a SWAT team could arrive.

Robin also discussed shooting up festivals, black churches, and even an airport, the court documents said.

The pair were each charged with conspiracy to commit murder and intimidation.

Robin is being held in juvenile detention but will be transferred to Fulton County Jail when he turns 18 on Aug. 29, WSBT said. Schultz is already being held in the jail.

“Anytime anyone’s obsessed with Columbine, yes, it’s a fine line between free speech and when you cross the line,” Fulton County Prosecutor Michael Marrs told WSBT.

“But when it goes so far as to start making a plan and taking an overt act and furtherance of that plan, that’s where we ask for warrants and we do something about it.

“Anything like this, we’re going to take extremely seriously because I think history has shown us that sadly, these kind of things do get carried out. And we’re not going to take it lightly.”
