A Catholic nun — who’s had previous stints as a surgeon, Army colonel and missionary — anointed President Trump as “the most pro-life President that this nation has ever had” in an address Wednesday at the 2020 Republican National Convention.

Sister Deirdre “Dede” Byrne, a member of the Little Workers of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, said that Trump has “defended life at all stages.”

“Because of his courage and conviction, President Trump has earned the support of America’s pro-life community,” Byrne said.

Trump has paid tribute to Byrne in the past, referencing her in his “Salute to America” speech on the Fourth of July in 2019, according to the Catholic News Agency.

In his speech, the president spoke of how Byrne raced to Ground Zero on 9/11 to assist first responders.

She was in New York that day to bring a religious sister to a medical appointment when tragedy struck, Georgetown Health Magazine previously reported. She would go on to work in a first aid tent at the site over the following days.
