A Rikers Island inmate spent nearly two hours recording a Facebook live video from behind the jail’s walls where he complained about conditions, took a phone call and recorded his friends — all while remaining uninterrupted by correction officers.

The one hour and 41-minute long video, posted Sunday from the Buenom Pretty Facebook account, which lists their occupation as “La Escuela de la Calle,” or the school of the streets, starts off with the host going off-camera to audibly urinate in the background.

“I live like a dog here, I live like an animal,” the man says in Spanish during one part of the video as he shows off his jailhouse digs, gesturing to his bed and toilet.

At different points in the video, he takes a phone call from a friend on the other side, combs his hair, dances and shows off some of his buddies, who clamor around the camera with toothy grins.

Jail officials caught wind of the broadcast and confiscated the man’s phone later Sunday from the North Infirmary Command hospital, a rep said.

“We take contraband in our facilities very seriously, and as soon as we became aware of this video officers conducted a housing area search and recovered associated contraband,” the spokesperson said.

Authorities did not identify the inmate or say whether he faced any discipline.
