#Genshin Impact: Anniversary Date Leaks and Details

News and leaks for Genshin Impact never seem to end and its nothing unusual, considering the immense popularity of the game. After one of the biggest updates of the game last week, a new kind of excitement is being felt in the air regarding the upcoming first anniversary of the game. So, here is everything we know about it.

The First Anniversary

What’s surprising is that it hasn’t even been a year since its release, but Genshin Impact is already one of the top 10 video games right now. Apart from that, it’s the biggest video game from the Chinese market and has one of the largest active player-base of all current video games.

Genshin Impact released on September 28, 2020, and its anniversary is expected on the same date, though nothing is confirmed yet. Since it would be the game’s first anniversary, it would be interesting to see how miHoYo celebrates it. The game already got the biggest update yet, so we definitely don’t expect something of that level. The anniversary is still 2 months away but certain leaks suggest some interesting things which might happen during its celebration.

Leaks and Expectations

One of the leaks suggests that it won’t just bring new banners and festivals but would also grant the players a lot of free Primogems. Primogem is one of the most important in-game currencies of Genshin Impact. So, it would make a lot of sense to celebrate the anniversary by providing the ultimate joy to the fans.

The first-anniversary event is also rumored to give away a free character of unknown rarity; introduce a banner consisting of a new character; and a rerun of an old 5-star character. Another rumor suggests that from the start of first anniversary, Genshin Impact will be moving forward by portraying Lumine as the main protagonist (instead of Aether). Also, the event might revolve around Ganyu and Keqing, two of the most important personalities in Liyue. This means some cosmetic items for these two characters can be expected as well.

Apart from all this, you can also expect some new weapons, a boost in drops of artifacts, and level-up materials in the upcoming anniversary event. But again, we’ll ask you to not raise your hopes up as most of these things are speculations and rumors. The fact is that no one knows how miHoYo might celebrate Genshin Impact’s very first anniversary. But one thing is for sure, first anniversary of Genshin Impact will surpass any filler event the game has seen before it.
