#Aniplex’s Original Anime and Card Game Build Divide Announced

Aniplex, LIDEN FILMS, and card game company Yūhodō announced a new project from the creator of Kakegurui, Homura Kawamoto, and his younger brother Hikaru Muno titled Build Divide. The multimedia project will have both a trading card game and an original TV anime titled Build Dive -#00000 (Code Black). A teaser trailer and visual for the anime were also revealed.

The anime’s first cour will premiere in October this year while the second cour will premiere in April 2022.

The anime’s staff includes Yuki Komada (Killing Bites, Blade of the Immortal) as director, Yoriko Tomita (As Miss Beelzebub Likes, Osamake: Romcom Where The Childhood Friend Won’t Lose) as script writer, and Shinpei Tomooka (Inukami!, Sekirei, Trinity Seven) as character designer. The animation production will be from LIDEN FILMS.

Build Divide is set in New Kyoto, where a new governing lord is chosen through their skills at a card game. The anime follows a boy and a “guard” that he controls.
