Game Informer has published a three-minute gameplay video of Resident Evil Village introducing upgrades.
By spending lei (in-game currency), protagonist Ethan can upgrade his arsenal. In addition to lei being dropped by enemies, valuables that enemies drop can also be sold for lei. The environment also features hidden treasures, which can be exchanged to The Duke for lei. Upgrades include power, rate of fire, reload speed, and ammo capacity.
Resident Evil Village is due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC via Steam, and Stadia on May 7 worldwide.
